The poem narrates the execution of Charles Thomas Wooldridge who had been a trooper of the Royal Horse Guards and was convicted of murdering his wife. Illustrated with 12 impressive etchings, including title page, after woodcuts by Erich Heckel from 1907. Printed in Walbaum Antiqua on Hahnemühlen handmade paper at the letterpress of the Brothers Hartmann, Berlin. Text in English. Light sunning of slipcase and spine.
