Colored endpapers. Original titlepage in black and red lettering. Cookbook with easy to make and very clear cut recipes even for the unexperienced house wife. The author praises his book as the most perfect gift for any young girl and woman in a Jewish household, because its filled with delicious menus, while being practical and economical and according to Jewish dietary laws. The variety of the recipes ranges from everyday cooking to holidays and cooking for patients, from family to larger events and contains advice for creating events, examples for menues for both: milchig and fleishig. Text in German. Tanning and age-toning at title page, some tear at top of the page affecting first word of title (still readable). Foxing, sporadic staining and age-toning through block. Some staining throughout pages I-XVI (the table of content). Tearing, partially pieces of page are missen, but text is not affected. Seven pages are repaired with library tape at the outer margin and lower edge. Starting at third last page, which is halfway detached from block. Binding in overall very good, interior in good- to very good condition. g- to vg. Item #39519
