The Sepher haShoham or "Onyx Book" is one of the very few surviving literary relics of medieval Anglo-Jewry. The work has been described as "first in time (ca. 1200) and probably in value" of the grammatical works of the period. Part I was to be completed with two additional volumes which were never published. Introduction by Cecil Roth in English, text in Hebrew.
