Published by the German cigarette company Club, this impressive album is a pictorial history of the first ten months of Hitler's chancellorship. The 162 mounted b/w photographs depicts the most important events that occured in Germany during the fateful year of 1933, such as: Adolf Hitler appointed Chancellor of Germany by Hindenburg; the Reichstag fire; the book burnings; the Nuremberg's Reichsparteitag des Sieges (Reich's Party Rally of Victory); Hitler Youth parades; etc.. The first 15 photographs are portraits of Hindenburg, Hitler, Goering, Goebbels, von Papen, Baldur von Schirach, Walter Darré, Rudolf Hess, General von Blomberg, and other German and Nazi officials. There are 6 photographs per leaf. Each photograph measures approx. 3 x 2 1/4". Photographs numbered 1 to 156. All photographs are present. Slipcase rubbed, creased, foxed and partly taped along edges. Minor sunning along edges of wrappers. Lower corner of back cover creased. Text and captions in German, gothic script.
