Exhibition catalog featuring master and student works from academy classes and experimental workshops. Arranged by the German Ceramics Association this exhibition provides an overview of the creative work at academies, schools for applied arts and crafts to the manufacturers. The exhibition features unique artworks as well as works appropriate for mass production in the ceramic industry. One of the jury members was Bruno Paul, the renown German architect, illustrator, interior and furniture designer and director of the United State School for Fine and Applied Art in Berlin, a school that surpassed the other, the Bauhaus, by far in in scope of curriculum and attendance of students. Among Paul's students in his private architectural practice and his academic studio was Mies van der Rohe. Illustrated with thirty three tipped-in b/w reproductions of ceramics indicating school, teacher and students on opposite pages. Text in German. Wrappers with light wear along edges, rubbed and a few minor stains. Book block lightly age toned, not affecting images. Wrappers in overall good+, interior in very good condition. g+ to vg.
