Illustrated title page featuring the biblical figures of Aaron and Samuel. This title page is reproduced before Psalms section. Separate title page for the Early Prophets. "Bet Aharon" is a concordance of biblical passages used in rabbinic literature. It makes use of earlier works such as Aaron of Pesaro's "Toldot Aharon," Simon b. Isaac ha-Levi's "Masoret ha-Mikra" and Jacob Sasportas' "Toldot Ya'akov." An expanded edition was published in Vilna in 1881. Text is printed in four columns in Rashi script. Each biblical verse has a box listing where they are quoted. This work is not organized according to the traditional Jewish ordering of the Old Testament. Some pages are printed with borders, but not others. Lengthy forwards to various sections. Text in Hebrew. Head and tail of spine chipped. Backstrip starting. Edges badly rubbed.
