NP: NP, 1940s. Boards. Oblong Sextodecimo (5.5" x 8"). Two original cardboard signs with red ruling and red and black lettering on yellow, respectively beige background; hanger hooks attached. Two warning signs in accordance with the German Antiaircraft Law decreed in June of 1935, designed to caution Germans during war times to avoid certain dangers. One of them reading: "Caution in conversation! Enemy is listening!" The other: "All travelers of this compartment are responsible for keeping the windows shaded when compartment is lit. Noncompliance or toleration of violations with be punished according to paragraphs 9 and 10 of the antiaircraft law, respectively Railway Police stipulations. German Reichs Railway." Both signs have hooks attached so they can be placed onto the glass panes of the compartment windows. Text in German.
