The splendid photographs featured in this album come from the Russian Imperial Collection; archaeological photographic archives; military archives of photographs taken for military purposes, and private archives collected out of personal interest or for commercial gain. Some of the vintage photographs are juxtaposed with a modern color photograph of the same place. Minor shelf-wear. Text in Turkish, English, and Russian.
