A collection of b/w press photographs originally from S.O.D.E.P., Paris, stamped "EXCLUSIF," and marked with sticker from Photo Research International in Alexandria, Virginia, covering the previous marker. The photographs depict the Royal Family of Jordan in various official and private settings in the mid sixties, e.g. King Hussein at Ragadan Palace on the day of Eid al-Fitr (Feast of Breaking the Fast) before the ceremony during which he receives the public; Hussein standing on the steps of the palace to receive honors from his army, a picture of the Royal throne, a portrait of Maurice Raynor, at the time director of the Royal Garages at Aman and major in the Jordanian Army, King Hussein in the crowd, Antoinette Avril Gardiner, titled Princess Muna Al-Hussein, the King's second wife with their baby son Abdullah II, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, various portraits of Abdullah II, photographs of the stud farm of Shuna, the princess and Abdullah receiving driving lessons in a go kart, Hussein at the beach, with his personal helicopter, Princess Dina, various photographs of Hussein's first wife Dina with children in costumes, the full table at a reception of his oldest daughter, princess Dina with daughter Alia, Bedouin Sheik Alibader, and a photograph of two swords engraved in England, among other motifs with the Star of David visible on the blades which had to be removed by Jordanian engravers. The photographs are numbered consecutively from 1-57 in handwriting with additional number 0532 handwritten on all of them. 12 photographs carry and additional stamp "Credit: from BLACK STAR." Includes typed list with descriptive captions of photographs. The photographs with wear along edges, lightly rubbed and creasing at corners. Some photographs with taped captions on verso. Stickers of Photo Research International on verso of each photograph, stamps, and handwritten numbers. Photographs in overall good to very good condition. g to vg. Item #37196
