This edition was available through subscription only and was printed by Poeschel & Trepte on handmade van Gelder paper. Beardsley's illustration of the endpapers was originally meant to become a book cover (therefore unpublished, see "The Early Work" - 1899, p. 77), the design for the cover meant for H. Th. Wharton: "Sappho" - London, 1895. Wilpert-G. 11. Text in German. Covers rubbed and bent with a few small chips at front cover joint.
