The German soldiers are seen in trenches, harvesting potatoes, building a bridge on the Bug, enjoying the Pentecost 1917 festivities, etc. Includes three pages with Jewish images. The numerous photographs are reproduced in photogravure. Very minor and sporadic soiling and age-toning on covers. Inner margin of title page repaired with tape.
