Complete set of this organ for scientific discussion of Jewish culture and the history of ideas. Next to the Monatsschrift für Geschichte und Wissenschaft des Judentums (Monthly for History and Scientific Study of Judaism) the Jahrbuch was the most important platform on the subject. Founded in 1902 the society promoted strictly scientific efforts suitable to deepen the awareness of traditional Judaism. The Jahrbuch informed about modern historical and philosophical investigations of traditional Jewish texts, religion and culture. Published were scientific articles based on primary sources but also popular articles on various themes, particularly on the history and philosophy of the Jewish religion. Contributors included Dr. D. Hoffmann, Dr. Salomon Bamberger, Prof. Alexander Marx, Dr. Isaac Breuer, Franz Rosenzweig, E. E. Hildesheimer, Dr. A. Berliner, to name a few. Few illustrations, e.g. artwork, documents, diagrams, maps. Text in German with some Hebrew. Ex Libris of Moses Marcus on each inside cover. Binding rubbed; volumes 1920, 1921, 1923 original cloth-backed, volume 1918 with front endpaper, title page plus 2 additional pages loose, volumes 1908 through 1912 rippled from water; volumes 1918 to 1923 age-toned due to low quality paper.
