Remarkable work in which are shown all the important examples of Lombard architecture in Italy. Besides views of buildings, many architectural details are reproduced. Each plates usually contains several figures, so that the actual number of b/w illustrations in the volume amounts to over a thousand, a large proportion of which are from the author's own photographs. Ex-library copy (Library of Architecture and Allied Arts) with library sticker at tail of spine, pocket on inside of front board, and stamp on front cover of chemise. Rubbing and soiling along edges of portfolio. Corners and head and tail of spine frayed. Flaps of chemise split open. Previous owner's blind-stamp (Edwin Bergstrom, Architect) on title page. Text pages taped together. Library identification number at upper margin of pages and plates throughout (not affecting text or images).
