(This image is also used by the contemporary Amsterdam printer Joseph Athias in his Bible.) This is a cabalistic commentary on the Five Books of Moses. sic. The Pentateuch. The author Samuel b. Moses was the head of the rabbinical court in Savislovitz in Lithuania. He had previously written a commentary on Psalms called "Yad Shemu'el." A second edition of “Shem Shemu'el” was printed in Podgorza in 1896. This is a cabalistic commentary on the Five Books of Moses. Text in Hebrew. Minor water staining on top edge.
