Wanderer-(Fahrrad)Werke was a car, cycle and machine manufacturer founded in 1885 in Siegmar-Schönau (Schönau-Chemnitz), Germany. The Continental typewriter was produced from 1904 onward. During W.W.II production was moved to Belgium and as a result the overall quality of the typewriter suffered. Russia attempted to copy the product after the war but the results were of poor quality.
