The business was started in 1865, originally manufacturing safes but soon finding its way into producing high-quality metal frames for architectural projects. The catalogue is divided into 12 parts (thumb-indexed) and profusely illustrated with b/w reproductions of photographs showing decorative gates, doors, bridge & balcony railings, grave grids, flagpoles, stair railings, street lamps, window grilles, signs, book shelves, glass cases, facades, pavilions, and much more. Text in German. Bottom corner of first few leaves bumped, minor creasing and staining on thumb index. Binding in fine, interior in very good condition. Scarce. With typewritten letter from 1986, signed by H. Klingenberg of Klingenberg Metallbau Gmbh, tipped-in at front.
