Photographic title-page. Memorial volume published to celebrate the two-hundredth anniversary of the Bevis Marks synagogue (1701-1901,) the oldest Spanish-Portuguese congregation in England. Illustrated with b/w reproductions of photographs, paintings, and facsimiles of various documents. One large fold-out plate with several coat of arms above a family tree. Some rubbing and scuffing on binding. Creasing, sunning and some staining on wrapper, small closed tear on bottom edge. Hinges starting slightly. Stamp of "M. Zonand, Contentieux Général...Paris" on front and verso of printed dedication page. Lacking rear wrapper. Binding in good+, wrapper in fair, interior in very good to near fine condition. g.
