This work was compiled and designed by Otto Herbert Hajek (1927-2005), who was a German abstract painter and sculptor. His works were exhibited throughout the world. He first gained high visibility at the Documenta II (1959) and Documenta III (1964) in Kassel, Germany. His versatile art included colored sculptures, objects made of steel & concrete, as well as interior and facade designs of buildings. Profusely illustrated with photographic reproductions in vibrant colors of paintings, sculptures & gouaches by Hajek as well as many photographs by various artists. Many photos accompanied with inspirational quotes by prominent figures such as Tennessee Williams, Elias Canetti, Berthold Brecht. Hermann Hesse, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, G. E. Lessings, Picasso, Goethe & many others plus quotes from the Talmud, ancient Chinese wisdom, etc. Includes articles by Till Bastian, Karlheinz A.
