Decimus Junius Juvenalis aka Juvenal, was a Roman poet active in the late 1st and early 2nd century AD. Aulus Persius Flaccus was a Roman satirist and poet. His poems and satires show a stoic wisdom as well as strong criticism for the abuses of his contemporaries. Minor age wear and abrasions on binding. Head of spine on Vol. I slightly chipped. Slight rippling to pages. Sporadic foxing to few pages. Notes by previous owner on top and bottom margin of page 53 in Vol. II. Last third of pages in Vol. I creased.
