Dosso Dossi, (a.k.a. Giovanni di Niccolò de Leturi, circa 1490 - 1542) the Italian Renaissance painter of the Ferrara School of Painting. His work is known less for its naturalism or attention to design and more for cryptic allegorical conceits in paintings around mythological and religious themes.
