The decoration is of an eagle flying across the sun with a swastika in its center. Head and tail of spine, corners and parts of edges slightly rubbed. Date, name and place handwritten on free front endpaper by previous owner. 66 illustrated advertisement pages preceding title-page, page 5 is an ad by Mercedes-Benz introducing and showing a photograph of the engine for "des neuen Zeppelin-Luftschiffes Hindenburg" (the new Zeppelin-Airship Hindenburg). A year later the Hindenburg was going up in flames during landing at the Lakehurst Naval Air Station in New Jersey. Fascinating handbook on aviation of several countries.
