Contributors of the some 40 essays include Boaz Cohen, Salo W. Baron, Israel Efros, H. L. Ginzberg and Leo Strauss n the English section and Samuel Atlas, J. N. Epstein, Abraham Joshua Heschel, Saul Liberman, Saul Liberman and Solomon Zeitlin among many others in the Hebrew section. Some age wear, tears, chips, creasing and sunning, particularly spines of wraps. 1 1/2" x 3 1/2" piece on top edge of front wrapper on Hebrew volume missing, 3" closed tear at top-edge of rear wrapper on same volume.
