More than 100 individual portraits of historical figures in photogravure (9 1/2 x 6 1/2") based on artwork by Johann Heinrich Wilhelm Tischbein, Bertel Thorwaldson, Georg Kolbe, Jean-Baptiste Isabey, Georg Emanuel Opitz and others. 50 reproductions in the accompanying text book featuring the interior of the exhibition's galleries and artwork of various historical figures of the time. The exhibition hall was built by the architect Hans Poelzig for the inaugural exhibition. Photographs by Götz. Ex-libris with bookplate at front. Original blue cloth folio split, with flaps laid in.
