Srusena Je Moc Zidova (The Power of the Walls has Been Torn Down) [Citaj I Zapamti! (Read and Remember!) Series Vol. 2]

Zagreb: Hrvatski Tiskarski Zavod (Croatian Printing Institute), 1942. First edition. Softcover. Sextodecimo. 19pp. Original light green wraps with green lettering and black ruling on cover, sunned to a tan color; protected by modern mylar. Anti-Semitic pamphlet offering tainted views relating to the activities of Jews in Croatia and elsewhere with chapters on the banks and the economy, differences in religious beliefs, the strength of the former Yugoslavia, the war and the activities of Freemasonry. This powerful attack was printed in the midst of WWII. The pamphlet opens with an acrid anti-Semitic paragraph:

"Today, the Croatian people believe that the only thing that is to blame for their misfortune, and the misfortune and pain of other nations in Europe, are the Jews. It was these... eternal swindlers that scandalously infected us with many "diseases," even part of the Croatian intelligentsia, which just now opened its eyes, when the Croatian people broke the yoke of slavery and pointed the finger at everything criminal in Croatian life. And our motto, in addition to the Great German Reich, should be: "out with the Jews, because they are our misfortune!" (goodge translate). Text in Croatian. Light sunning along edges of covers with pencil notes on cover. Presumably former owner's name inked to first text page twice. Block age-toned. Good condition. Item #50522
