Vellum over marbled paper boards with gilt lettering on the spine. Pages uncut. Top edge gilt. The work is a finely produced facsimile reproducing the original text and woodcut illustrations of Gershom Kohen's Prague Haggadah of 1527, serving as the first volume of the Monumenta Hebraica Et Judaica series by Josef Altmann. This printing was limited to 300 copies for the members of the Soncino-Society. Laid in at the front cover is a finely printed 14 page booklet, acting as an German-language preface and commentary to the text of the Haggadah, providing context and history to the publication. Text in Hebrew, booklet in German.

Binding with light wear along edges and lightly rubbed. Booklet and book block lightly age-toned and small closed tear at bottom corner of the back cover of the booklet. A small stain along the edge of a few pages, interior otherwise quite clean. Binding in very good, interior in very good+ condition overall. vg to vg+. Item #50322
