In addition the book is illustrated with sixty-one b/w reproductions and eight color reproductions of Kent's work on separate plates. Though best known and admired for his paintings, Kent also worked as an architect, illustrator, lithographer, cartoonist, advertising artist and carpenter and was active in the American Trade Unions.
