The influence of Early Renaissance architecture did not exhaust its message in Queen Elizabeth's lifetime, but continued and completed its evolution under the two first Stuarts. It is for this reason that this period is divided into two volumes. Profusely illustrated with striking b/w in-text photographs throughout. Vol. 1 with small library sticker on spine. Binding moderately rubbed. Small water stain to margins of block visible throughout. Penciled notes on verso of back endpapers. Binding and interior in overall good- condition.
