New York: Horizon Press, 1977-1980. First edition. Hardcover. 2 oversized folio volumes (21" x 16"). Each volume is in the publisher's original heavy cardboard shipping box with mounted label on front cover and limitation label on bottom edge. Volume 1 is a black cloth portfolio with red lettering and Japanese style bone fasteners. It houses 50 loose color plates (numbered 1 to 50, that range from 1895 to 1959). It includes the Doheny Ranch, Falling Water, Tokyo's Imperial Hotel, Trinty Chapel, and Guggenheim Museum, among others. Vol. 1 is copy #393 of a limited edition of 500 numbered copies.
Volume 2 is a blue cloth, but similar portfolio, housing plates 51 to 100, ranging from 1893 to 1959, plus a text leaf of introduction by Olgivanna Lloyd Wright. Among the works represented in this volume are the Wright Studio in Oak Park, Schroeder House, Rosenwals School, Nesbitt House, Boulder House and the Broadacre City Plan, among others. Vol. 2 is copy #420 of a limited edition of 700 numbered copies. Both volumes are in fine, as new condition and are being sold together and comprise a retrospective of Wright's buildings and plans in both his hand and the hands of his draughtsmen, many of which were previously unpublished.
