Photo documentation of Richard Serra's sculpture "Standing Stones" with descriptive text. The site of the sculpture is Vesturey on Videy Island near the harbor of Rykjavik. The sculpture encompasses nine locations and two elevations and is placed on Vesturey in such a way as to direct the viewer to walk around the entire island. The gray-black basalt stones are three meters high on the higher and four meters at the lower elevation. Profusely illustrated with b/w photographs by Dirk Reinartz, including one three-wing foldout, and Richard Serra sketches. Text in German, Islandic and English.
