Original illustrated wraps with white lettering designed by Herbert Bayer, protected by modern mylar. Copies of the same issue are published with variant advertisements bound in, e.g. Primo Farben and an additional two-page advertisement for art print paper of the F. E. Weidenmüller Aktiengesellschaft, as well as loosely laid in promotions. Laid into this issue are a one leaf color advertisement of the color manufacturer Schramm A.G., Offenbach (quarto), and a folded color advertisement for a letter folding machine of the Roto- und Debego-Werke-A.G., Königslutter, with tipped-on return postcard (octavo).

Contains articles on Gerhard Marggraff by E. Hölscher featuring Marggraff 's work for the German Lufthansa, the Reichsfestspiele, catalogs, books, and various designs for government publications, e. g. a design for the German Consulate with eagle and swastika. Fritz Gruber features the advertising agency Fortnum & Mason in London, showing advertisements enhanced by cartoons, Traug. Schalcher on Emmerich Weninger's film posters, featuring posters for "The Mutiny on the Bounty," Anton Sailer on Gustave Doré, E. M. Bohne on the Studio Dorvyne, Paris, featuring photography in advertising, E. G. Paulus on advertising in Bulgaria, Edi Kallista's new masks and picture stories by H. A. Reyersbach, Rio de Janeiro.

The issue contains two sections of advertisements at front and rear, including bound-in pieces for Chr. Hostmann's Steinberg'sche Farbenfabriken in the front section and for Primo Colors in the rear section entitled "The Wonders of Color in Nature," both in color lithography. An additional photogravure in Astral-Black for the Jänecke-Schneemann KG print color manufacturer is part of the rear section. Text in German. Wraps with light wear along edges and light scuffing of cover. Front cover loosened from staples but firmly attached. Very good- condition. Item #49341
