Paris: Au Vent D'Arles, 1960. First edition. Loose leaf. Limited 472/500. Elephant Folio (21 1/2 x 16 1/2"). 18pp., (1) 7 plates (16 3/8 x 21"). Original silky red cloth with gray cloth flaps, protected by modern mylar. The plates of Toros were printed on Arches Vellum paper by Daniel Jacomet. The poem is typeset in Garamond Corps 24 and was printed on December 15, 1960, on the press of the Union Printing House in Paris.

The 500 copies were numbered at the press with additional twenty copies numbered from I to XX. The copies 1 to 50 are accompanied by an original lithograph, printed on the presses of Mourlot Frères, numbered and signed by the artist. The seven of fifteen plates in our copy are hand-numbered in pencil and signed and dated by Picasso in plate. Text in French. Cloth binding with light wear along edges and partially water stained. Some foxing in hinges of gray cloth flaps. Good to very good condition. Item #49110
