The third issue, of only three ever published, of this bi-monthly architectural magazine (December 1938-May 1939), includes articles written by the likes of such acclaimed architectural figures as Amédée Ozenfant, Alvar and Aino Aalto, Alberto Sartoris (1901-1998), Giuseppe Terragni (1904-1943) and L. Moholy-Nagy ("Light: A New medium of Expresion"). The publication was conceived as as a kind of supplement to the Architectural Forum magazine, and bring avant-garde sensibilities to mainstream American architecture. Includes articles on both architecture and art, with b/w photographic reproductions, as well as various measured drawings and floor plans. Layout and design throughout by Swiss-American graphic designer Herbert Matter. The final page contains a reproduction of an original photogram by L. Moholy-Nagy.

Wrappers with some light smudges and staining to the covers, as well as some light chipping and creasing to extremities. Interior with some minor staining to the top of the first page, and some continued light rippling do to moisture exposure to the top of the other pages throughout. Pages quite clean in general. Wrappers in very good-, interior in very good condition overall. Scarce. Protected in modern mylar. vg- to vg. Item #49057
