Illustrated catalog of the collection that was removed from 734 Fifth Avenue, New York, and was on public display preliminary to the unrestricted public sale in five sessions on the afternoons and evenings of Monday and Tuesday, and the afternoon of Wednesday, November 29, November 30, and December 1, 1915, at 2:30 and 8:15 o'clock. This public sale preceded the Sotheby auctions of Rustafjaell's ancient artifacts held in 1906, 1913 and 1914.

The owner, Robert de Rustafjaell, was a Bey of the Imperial Ottoman Empire, a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and other learned bodies. He was the author of the important titles "The Light of Egypt" and "Stone Age of Egypt." Illustrated with eight plates with b/w reproductions of objects, printed to glossy paper, offered in this public sale of altogether 745 items. Wraps with some wear along edges, small chips and closed tears at head and tail of spine and rubbed. Date inked to spine with two small paper labels and one small stamp on cover. Wraps in overall good-, interior in very good condition. Good- to very good condition. Item #48819
