Short, one paragraph bios of one hundred and fifty-seven Jewish men including Jakob von Hirsch, a banker and first Jew allowed to acquire land parcels in Bavaria, Leopold Löw, one of Hungary's most important and distinguished Rabbis, Giacomo Meyerbeer, the Jewish composer and adversary of Richard Wagner in Paris, Giuseppe Finzi, one of the spearheads fighting for the unity of Italy, among many others. Listing the men included in this remembrance and their dying days at rear. Text in German, Gothic script. Binding with light rubbing and light wear along edges with small paper tag at tail of spine.
