"Approximately 20,00 aerial photographs of single residences were part of a company estate I took over in 2002. Between 1979 and 1983 countless settlements were flown over at low altitude to take aerial photographs of single residences to sell to potential buyers. Their versos contained insightful notes, e.g.: "No interest in photographs," "Von Erde schöner", "Wife wants, but house too expensive," "I can get half a motorbike for that," "Doing it myself," or simply "Deceased." Various sightings of the archive lead to areas to collect and inventory categories, like "sleeping houses," floral bodies," and "human in front of house." A fourth, fifth and sixth view of 18 moving crates full of lightly yellowed photographs and negatives finally revealed, what this book now reveals." (Peter Piller).
