In this monograph Cremers elaborates on Behrens' work and time as well as his work for industry, residences and religious art. Illustrated with 298 extraordinary b/w offset reproductions of photographs & exceptional architectural drawings and plans (some in fold out). Includes one color plate, a sketch of the "Honor Hall (Ehrenhalle)" in Hoechst, protected by tissue guard.
The plates contain b/w reproductions of photographs, architectural drawings and plans for industrial architecture (2-79), religious art including some architectural designs and plans or churches (81-105), residences and housing developments (107-148), and works from the Vienna Master School for Architecture under the supervision of Peter Behrens (151-162). Chronological overview of the important works and dates and an index of the visuals at rear.
