Regensburg: J. Habbel, 1910. First edition. Softcover. Folio. 46pp. Green cloth over decorative green and gold paper wrappers, with black lettering printed on a white label pasted on the front cover. Gilt edges of book block. The work is a study of the medieval German tapestries found in the Old Town Hall of Regensburg, Germany. The town hall now houses the city's Reichstagsmuseum, and was the site of the Perpetual Diet from 1663 to 1806. The text throughout is illustrated by numerous examples of the tapestries, printed in both b/w offset printing and beautiful color offset lithography (including two double-page spreads). Wrappers with loosening and chipping to spine. Light rubbing to the corners. Interior with some water stains along the bottom edges of the interior back cover and rear free endpaper. Wrappers fair, interior in very good- condition overall. fair to vg-. Item #48370
