Extension of the work published in the discontinued periodical "Die Form, Monatshefte für gestaltende Arbeit (The Form, Monthly for Creative Work)," stressing form without ornamentation with an introduction by Wolfgang Pfeiderer. Documentation of the Werkbund exhibition in Stuttgart, 1924. Illustrated with one hundred and seventy-two b/w photographs on eighty-nine plates depicting articles of daily use, including soap (design by August Trueb), kitchen utensils (designs by Ferdinand Kramer), stoves (designs by W. Jost), chairs (Bauhaus design), lamps (design by Wolfgang von Wersin), coffee makers (Bauhaus design), crumb brush (German Workshop Munich-Hellerau design), ceramics (design by Dorkas Härlin) and many others.
