Publisher's device on title page. All images with black border. This documentation of the decoration of Vienna cemeteries shows the work of the sculptors Joh. Benk, Th. Charlemont, Th. Friedl, Ernst Hegenbarth, Ed. Helmer, Joh. Klamsteiner, Otto König, Karl Kundmann, J. Lax, H. Natter, E. Pendl, P. Rummel, A. Schmidgruber, Stefan Schwartz, Wilh. Seib, Victor Tilgner, Rud. Weyr, K. v. Zumbusch and others. The portfolio is illustrated with fifty-four photogravures of Vienna funerary monuments on thirty plates. The fifty-four monuments are not captioned, therefore the work cannot be assigned directly to the sculptors mentioned above. Plate twenty-three is trimmed to measure 17 1/2 x 11" only. Text in German. Portfolio with some staining, rubbed and cloth somewhat frayed with joints partially cracked and cloth corners removed. Title plate with wear along edges, small stain at right upper foredge and and ink traces of eight inches at upper foredge. Plates with some staining in margins and foxing in some cases affecting imagery. Plate twenty-three with medium foxing affecting imagery, Most images in very good condition.
