Slim Folio. 52pp. Illustrated green/beige staple-bound paper wrappers with black lettering on the front over. The scarce publication is comprised of a collection of essays, and writings on the Negev desert in Israel, created by the Dutch Jewish Youth Federation. This organization would change its name officially to Habonim shortly after the publication of this piece. The content here is comprised of both contemporary writings on a variety of subjects related ancient and modern history of the Negev, and the Aravah region of the state of Israel, as well as other historical writings and biblical excepts. Authors whose work is printed here include Leo Baeck, Marie Syrkin and Joesph Braslavski. P. 40-44 contains a list of Kibbitim located in the Negev. This publication also contatins a map of the region, in b/w on p.17, and a the lyrics and musical notation for the song “Haderech Le Eilat” on the final page.

Text in Dutch, with occasional Hebrew.

Wrappers and pages throughout sunned along the edges. Minor to light rubbing candor chipping to extremities of wrappers. Small closed tear and/or creasing to the edges of a few pages throughout. Wrappers in good+, interior in very good condition overall. Quite scarce. Protected in modern mylar. g+ to vg. Item #48068
