This scarce work is an architectural, design and developmental prospectus for the planned "Ganshantouhai" hot springs resort and leisure area, to be situated in a large cove on the shores of Liaodong Bay, in the Wafangdian district of (Dalian) southern Liaoning province, China. According to text from one of the developers the project includes "3,700 acres" with "five golf courses, beach resort areas, two retail areas, several types of vacation house areas, a marina, a Japanese-style hot springs resort, a sports park, multiple hot spring wellness centers, an orchard, as well as parks, public beaches, a pier, and other amenities." Photo-illustrated throughout with demonstrative sample images in color, of the development firms concepts for the project, showing all manner of land development, landscaping, architectural, leisure (including golf courses and water activities), entertainment, and residential concepts (all in Western styles). Includes a number of detailed maps of the site. The second volume focuses specifically on the prospectus for the Japanese-style hot springs resort section of the development, and includes numerous detailed topographic maps, and demonstrative examples of other similar hot springs areas in Japan. This project is a representative example of the ambition of Chinese real estate and finanicial industry during this period. Text in Chinese and Japanese throughout, with occasional section headings printed in English. Interior with starting after the front free endpaper.
