B/w photo-illustrated wrappers. B/w lettering on the front cover. A book of Yiddish poetry, published by the Central Jewish Historical Commission of the Central Committee of Polish Jews, not long after the end of the war, as part of their series of Yiddish literature publications. The author, Simhah Bunam Szajewicz (1908-ca. 1944) composed the title work while in the Lodz ghetto, and is believed to have died in the camps. The book is comprised of two main poems, "Lekh-Lekha" and "Friling 702". Includes introduction and notes from Polish-Jewish historian Nachman Blumenthal (1902-1983). Also included are facsimile reproductions of pages from the original manuscripts of the poems. Table of contents at the rear.
