(Vices of social gatherings and concurrences of the time; excesses and prejudices of the conversations of the day, called by another name courtships: discovered, demonstrated and confuted in six conversations between an ecclesiastic and a distinguished lady)

Barcelona: Eulalia Piferrer Vidua, 1785. First edition. Hardcover. Sextodecimo (6 x 4"). (14) 253 (2)pp. Bound in parchment with brown lettering and ruling on spine. Conversations about vices, moral, courtship and theology.

Curious work that defends moderation and good tone in the gatherings of the nobility, attacking the frivolity of certain unemployed ladies and some ecclesiastical and literary men without office or benefit. These gatherings speak at length of how the courtship of a lady was carried out, although it is full of moral reproofs.
