Profusely illustrated with drawings, plans and maps, two of them folding, and numerous b/w photographs. Marucchi was an Italian archaeologist and the author of the "Manual of Christian Archaeology." The catacombs of Rome were the chief object of his research. Binding with light wear along edges, small chip on front cover.
