This Jewish yearbook was the first of two such books published, 1926-1927, by David Shub. As stated in the title, the publication presents a chronological summary of important developments and current events in the world in general and the Jewish world, as well as copious statistical tables. A wide variety of information both Jewish-related and non-Jewish is included such as, world records, accomplishments, world news and statistics, Socialist news and politics, Jewish news and politics, and Jewish cultural news (including literature and theater). Contains some b/w photographic reproductions. Includes some period illustrated advertisements as well.
Text in Yiddish, with a few sporadic instances of English, printed in single and two-column formats.
Wrappers with some minor to light rubbing and/or creasing to extremities. Some chipping to the head and tail of the spine. Interior with starting at the gutter of the interior front cover. P.245-400 with some light staining to the upper corners. Book block still tight overall. Wrappers in good+, interior in very good- condition overall. g+ to vg-. Item #47599
