This remarkable work is a pictorial survey of French Art Deco ironworks in the 1920s. Thirty-six striking plates reproduced in heliotype depicting numerous realized projects of hand railings, ironwork, gates, doors and doorways executed at buildings by some of the most famous architects, Henri Favier, Julien Médecin, Le Bourgeois et Bourgon, Bernard Haubold, Tony Garnier, M. and L. Sainsaulieu, Raymond Barbaud, Eric Bagge, among others, and craftsmen of the period, Edgar Brandt, A.-G. Szabo, Jean Prouvé, Charles Piguet, René Gobert, Marcel Bergue, Schwartz-Hautmont, Baguès Frères, Richard Desvallières, E. Schench and Sons, Van Mullen, Raymond Subes, Malatre and Tonnelier, École Municipale Dorian, Paul Kiss, Raingo Frères, and others. Photographs are credited to Photo Chevogeon (Chevojon).
