This fine press, limited edition honors the contributions and charitable activities of banker and philanthropist George Blumenthal (1858-1941). "Twenty-Nine copies on handmade paper, bound in boards, were designed and made by the Pynson Printers". The title page and two following pages of text are surrounded by lovely decorative borders in black. Binding with some bumping and rubbing to extremities. A few small stains to the front cover. *George Blumenthal (1858-1941) was an American-Jewish philanthropist and banker. Among his many activities outside of being a successful banker, he gave many philanthropic donations and served as a trustee, or in prominent positions on the boards of many notable organizations including Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, the American Hospital of Paris, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where he served as president, from 1934 until his death in 1941.
