This is volume two of the Figure Photography Annual special issue, published by Art Photography Magazine. Profusely illustrated throughout with the gorgeous b/w nude photography of Andre de Dienes (1913-1985), the noted glamour and fashion photographer, who became among the most influential nude photographers of the era. Also includes reproductions of Dienes photomontage and rayograph work. Each image is accompanied by informative text, and often, a related illustrated sketch in b/w. There were at least seven annual issues of this special published, before it became a quarterly issue (known as the "Figure Quarterly"). These books were presented as educational manuals on how to shoot the female form, and were thus able to skirt the 1950s censorship laws.
