Contains historical narrative of the "Vulcan" Corporation and chapters on warships built, shipbuilding and engineering works at Bredow, the T. S. S. "Kaiser Wilhelm der Grosse," the propelling machinery of the ship and its steering and navigation gear, followed by one brief chapter on typical locomotives constructed by the "Vulcan" Corporation in Bredow, near Stettin. All chapters are profusely illustrated with b/w offset reproductions of photographs of the ships, some one hundred measured and technical drawings, diagrams and a map of the manufacturing plant. At rear nine double-paged plates, five with measured drawings of the "Kaiser Wilhelm der Grosse," two with the Hamburg-American Twin-Screw Steamer "Fürst Bismarck," and two with locomotives built for the Prussian State Railways.
Light wear along edges of binding, front cover with one slim three inch white line, and two very short faint white lines. Plate VI of double-plates at rear with short closed tear and light creasing at upper right corner.
