Part one elaborated on the geographical, historical, state and cultural character of Argentina, while part two presents a picture of the various regions of the country as living units of nature and history and its subsequent development of the specific culture, including mentality, economy and folklore. The author lived and traveled in Argentina for ten years. The book is complemented by statistic of contemporary Argentinean publications: A. Windhausen, Geologia Argentina, 1931, F. Kühn, Argentina, 1927, F. Kühn, Basics of cultural Geography of Argentina, 1933, H. Luft, Latin America, 1930, and A, Haas, Argentina, 1923, as well as a number of small German and Argentinean publications.

The book is illustrated with numerous b/w photographs, depicting the landscapes, particularly those showing little known or neglected sides of the country. many of the photographs were supplied by the Argentinean periodical "Lasso." Contains b/w map of Argentina at rear. Text in German. Binding lightly age-toned with very light staining on covers. Some foxing of endpapers, very light on half-title. Very light foxing of edges.
